Junny's obituary

Leonard Wooden, Jr. peacefully, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 after enduring a long illness. Leonard's parents; Frances Smith and Leonard Wooden, Sr. predeceased him in death. At a young age, he was given the nickname, Junny, which those who knew and loved him affectionately called upon him. Junny was born in Trenton, New Jersey and attended Trenton schools during his formative years. Junny remained in Trenton, New Jersey through middle adulthood and later made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia.

In his early 20's, Junny endured a tragic accident which left it difficult to navigate his mobility. Prior to the accident, Junny enjoyed being a barber and displaying his artistic talent by drawing portraits. Despite the change he was faced with, Junny continued to live his life fearlessly. For those who knew Junny, he was a cool dude and had a big heart. Family was important to him and one of the great things we will remember is how he loved and let people know how much he loved them. Junny was known for maintaining contact with family and friends. He didn't speak long but he would let you know he was thinking of you and give his salutations until he called again. Junny made his presence known and some would even retort, he had to be the center of attention.

Junny leaves to celebrate his life and mourn him leaving this life; his devoted wife, Mentha Wooden; two children, Amiracle Starr Wooden and Tazhuan Liggins . He was adored by his bonus children; Rashida Miller, Tammie, Patty, Lisa, Teddy and (#)grandchildren. His stepfather, John Singleton; brothers-Troy McCarthy (Ricky), Kevin Stephens, Marcus Singleton and two sisters-Renee (?) and Tanya Edwards. He had an array of cousins who loved him like a brother and nieces and nephews who treasured him.
