Leonard Thomas Leadford, Sr. Obituary

Leonard Thomas Leadford, Sr. (Big Len) passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at Hope Hospice House in Fort Myers, FL, with the loving care of his son Leonard Thomas Leadford, Jr., niece Susan Knox, and brother-in-law William (Bill) Reiber.

He was born on May 30, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA. He resided in Fort Myers, FL, for many years to be close to his loving sister Geraldine Reiber and her wonderful husband Bill, and their children Sue, Scott, Gerry, and Adam.

Big Len was known for his kindness and generosity and will be missed immeasurably. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his loving children, Leonard and Kimberley; his adoring sisters Margaret (Aunt Peggy) and Maryann (Aunt Mare); and his nieces and nephews Jack, Kathleen, Bernadette, Thomasita, Peggy, Jim, Tim, Lois, Terry, Susan, Colleen, Scott, Adam, Richard, Thomas, Cassie, Christopher, Maryann, Darlene, Barbara, Patricia, Carol, Heidi, Robin, Eddie, Clay, and Marie.

He has now joined his heavenly family: Nan, Pop, Aunt Cassie and Uncle Roy, Baby Christopher, Aunt Terry and Uncle Frank and Larry, Aunt Ger and Little Ger, Aunt Lois and Uncle Bill and Shawn, Aunt Bobbie, Aunt Bern, Uncle Bill Cavanaugh, and Tony and Buddy Schriver.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Leonard’s name to Hope Hospice of Lee County.

A private celebration of Leonard’s life will be held in Philadelphia, PA.
