Leonard's obituary

Leonard Paul Felux a longtime resident of Fairview, Texas, entered eternal rest on July 4, 2022 at 2:02am in San Antonio, TX at Otto Murphy Hospital at the age of 93. Leonard Paul Felux was born on October 2, 1928, to Valialine Felux and Bridget Felux in Wilson, County. Leonard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville. Leonard is survived by his children, Pete Williams and wife Reggie of Floresville, Danny Williams and wife Sherry of Dallas, Georgia, Susie Robinette and husband Roy of Aransas Pass, Jerry Williams and wife Vicky of Fairview, Karen Williams of Rockport, and Paul Felux and wife Tracy of Floresville; and his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Leonard was a loving husband, father, and son. Leonard was also a combat veteran that served in the US Army forces in World War II in the 2nd armored division ("Hell on Wheels").  Leonard married Lois Jean Collins on January 19, 1974, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville taking on the responsibility of raising her 5 children Pete, Susie, Danny, Jerry, and Karen. (What an amazing Pawpaw.)  Lois Jean and Leonard then had the most amazing son named Paul Felux which made 6. They loved their family so.  Leonard worked hard to provide for his family at John Deer for many years till he opened his own diesel injection business at his home. He made many friends over the years with his business and just loved them; they were considered family.  After losing his beloved wife of over 37 years, Leonard continued to work and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren never missing Church on Sunday to pray for his family that he loved so much.   Leonard loved his job and retired at the age of 86 still working part time. Although being deeply missed in the community, Leonard decided he would officially   retire and move to Rockport, TX where he spent his retirement enjoying the beautiful ocean from his balcony and Rving. He was very active and enjoyed his Sunday drives to the big tree to see the deer with "Ice Cream" in hand! lol   Leonard loved animals he and Lois had several and often took animals in. The last couple of years he had a cat that slept with him every night, it was his little buddy Chappy.  Leonard loved his cookies; it was the family joke to call him the cookie monster!! He would laugh and giggle... he loved his sweets and don't forget the apple turnovers!  Leonard also loved the military channel in his spare time and would tell us many fascinating stories about his time of service and how it was back then. Leonard was an amazing man and touched every heart he met till the end of his life on July 4th, 2022.
