In Loving Memory of Leona “Lee” Maile (Robertson) Paschoal
Leona Maile (Robertson) Paschoal, 81, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on June 20th, 2025 at Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku.
Leona was born on November 19, 1943 in Hilo, Hawai'i to John Bonar Robertson and Julia Jacqueline Kealoha. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, Hilo, in 1961. She met the love of her life, Manual Gomes "M.G" Paschoal at Chaminade University in Manoa, Hawai'i in 1962. They were married on October 20th, 1964. They remained soul mates and best friends for 57 years until M.G.'s passing in 2019.
Leona was a cherished wife, beloved and dedicated mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, gracious aunt, and loyal friend. She was known for her attention to detail, rigorous work ethic, loving generosity, caring disposition, and fierce pride in her family. Leona was a beautiful and remarkable individual who touched the lives of many throughout her time with us.
Leona will be deeply missed by her surviving children, Julia Ann Paschoal of Wailuku, Maui, Kathleen Paschoal, of Wailuku, Matthew (Rebecca) Paschoal of Wailea, Maui, Albert (Sheryl) Paschoal of Wailuku, and Caroline Paschoal of Wailuku. Joining her children in survivorship are 11 grandchildren, listed in order of age; Alexander Michael Klink, Pono Otineru Ho'opi'i, Coren Yamauchi-Paschoal, Matthew Kekoa Paschoal, Kaipo Alapaki Paschoal, Maximus Gregory Paschoal, Zoey Rae Kapuanani Kazuyo Hada, Jaqueline Kuina Paschoal-Kong, Samantha Maile Cano, Lilinoe Mamo Paschoal, and Mateo Joseph Paschoal; three great-grandchildren, Kalia-lei Keakealaniwahine Motooka-Paschoal, Xander Manaia Kahinano Ho'opi'i, Eva Marie Paschoal, and one great grandchild on the way.
To celebrate Leona’s life and profound impact on our lives, we will gather at Saint Anthony Church in Wailuku, Maui, on July 18th, 2025. Public viewing begins at 9:00am, eulogy at 10:45am, with a Catholic mass to follow at 11:00am. Your attendance would deeply honor us.
