Leon Godwin, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 68. Born on September 6, 1954, Leon brought joy and laughter to the lives of those who knew him. His kindness and warm-hearted spirit will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Leon was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Tarber; brothers, James Godwin, Bobby Godwin Sr., Rufus Godwin and Jackie Godwin; and sister, Verdell Fuller. 

His memory will live on through his son, Leon Boyd; daughter, Loistine Godwin; and  three sisters, Billie Batten, Lavern Wright, Gwendolyn Williams; and four brothers, William Godwin, Jr., Jovone Godwin, Kenneth Godwin, and Michael Godwin.

Although he is no longer with us physically, the memories and lessons Leon shared will carry on in the hearts of all who knew him. His reserved and genuine nature will be remembered and cherished. Leon Godwin's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were blessed enough to know him.
