It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely demise of Leoben "Leo" Batun-Buford, affectionately known as Booboo, but who preferred Leo. Born August 21, 2011, Leoben's spirited journey ended on November 21, 2024. His presence was a breath of fresh air and lit the room like a beacon of joy and warmth.

Leoben was the son of William and Raquel Batun-Buford, who survive him. His relationship with his big family was as strong and affectionate as could be and he will be greatly missed.

Leoben's personality was larger than life. He was the sunshine on a rainy day, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around him. Known for his goofy, silly, and funny demeanor, he had an uncanny knack for making everyone feel comfortable and loved with his cuddly nature.

Among his lessons to share with the world, the most significant one was Being Fair. He believed that fairness was not just a principle but a roadmap to a harmonious and balanced life. Leoben was a keen advocate of equality and his actions resonated his beliefs.

Leoben's role as the Big Brother was one of his most cherished accomplishments. He fully understood the responsibility that the role brought and embraced it with love and dedication. He was a pillar of strength and guidance for his younger siblings.

Leoben believed that 'Fairness is something we aspire to give everyone'. This was not just a phrase but something he strived to instill in every person he met, ensuring his legacy of fairness would continue to inspire others.

Among the many things that made Leoben special were his friendships. He was a fierce friend who cherished every relationship he formed. His friendships were a true testament to his loving and devoted nature.

Leoben may not be with us in person, but his spirit lives on in his teachings and the countless lives he touched. His memory will be a comforting reminder of the joy and happiness he spread. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
