Background
Lenzy's death was unexpected, absolutely nobody could have been prepared for this, and the family lacks funds needed to pay for his funeral. We prefer to organize these events in the light of honoring lenzy, and who he was and will always live on in our hearts to be, cutting corners just isn't something we want to consider. We are saving money where we can, without taking away from any of the quality. Anything donated will be used towards the funeral/memorial costs that we are planning to hold this saturday June 19th 2021 @ 2pm, which we understand may not provide people enough time to physically join us. In light of that and for the simple fact that we want any and everyone that would like to be a part of the service as well as the celebration of life, we plan to also live stream the service so people may attend from home as well. The celebration of life we are still confirming but in order to help ensure there will be enough planning time for everyone who would like to join- we are looking at possibly June 26th and will keep everyone posted on further details. All donations beyond the cost of the funeral/memorial physical and live stream service and supplies - will be geared towards The Celebration of Life - food, venue, photography, etc (all additional will be towards any items that can be afforded in honoring and celebrating Lenzy, who he was, his short life, being sure to hold an accurate representation of the light he was and impact he yearned to be and everything we can find or do to be sure his light and memory live on and never dims out. We will never forget Lenzy and who he is to all of us personally, and we will do everything in our power to accurately represent that and allow no one to forget.) Anything helps, we appreciate all of the messages and condolences, and all we ask is for anyone who loved lenzy please join us in whatever way possible in honoring him. We do not want to pressure anyone to donate, please do not donate if you cannot financially afford to- we know the pandemic has hindered many families and their financial security as it has directly impacted ours as well. We do not want anyone suffering financially or in any way for that matter, losing him is hard enough, please take care of yourselves and only donate if you feel comfortable. A celebration and service for lenzy will still go on regardless of what needs to be done, we will make it happen. Please contact Hayley or Jonnilyn with any questions, or any inquiries on additional ways to help. Please reach out if you need to talk to someone, this is a hard time for all of us, stay healthy, stay positive, and don't ever forget to forgive and love as hard as you possibly can any moment you get, you never know when that possibility or those moments will be taken away. Rest in Paradise Lenzy Jay Colquitt, you are and will always be so loved, and never forgotten. Thank you so much to everyone in advance for your support.
