How can it be put? Lenny was the best. Ever since we moved in next to Ruby and Len back in the early 80's, they became instant family. They were surrogate grandparents to our two boys through their youth and were always there when our boys would hop the fence to visit them for a round of video games or a delicious lunch that Ruby would prepare for them. We had such a rich and loving relationship with Ruby and Len. They enriched our life tremendously. Len was always a soft warm space. We would spend hours together waxing on about the joys of the Universe and it's unconditional love. A week before his passing I was able to spend the whole afternoon with him. It was glorious as we ate our favorite lunch items and went deep into our metaphysical wonderings. I can feel him right now and I can see that lovely smiling face, that glow in his eyes and his healing vibration. My heart is overwhelmed with appreciation and joy to have had Father Len in our lives, and in all that space of appreciation and gratitude there's still a space for the sadness of not having our friend to visit anymore. But one of the things we would talk about is how everything in this world is coming and going and coming and going and if it doesn't go, it only means we went before it, but that it doesn't matter because the opposite of death is birth, but life has no opposite, and that's what we are... Life itself.

Father Len, Thank you for your  humor, whit, your glorious heart, your sympathetic ear, and your immense love. You truly are in our heart forever.

So sorry to Mattie and family for your loss.  In October 2021 my daughter Neesha (Lenny's daughter-in-law) and I went to Los Angeles for a few days. I had heard so much about Lenny from Mattie and Neesh over the years and was hoping to meet him. We visited him at his home in the hills and he very kindly took us to dinner at Figaro in Loz Feliz (photo above taken by Neesha). He was wonderful, vibrant, funny and a terrific raconteur. I will treasure my memory of my visit.
