Le'Kisha's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Le'Kisha Franklin-Morgan, a treasured soul with a heart full of love and a spirit filled with unyielding resolve. Le'Kisha was born on September 27, 1975 and passed away on April 7, 2025. Her personality, a delightful concoction of humor, vivaciousness, determination, passion, warmth, and an adventurous spirit, made her truly unforgettable.

Le'Kisha's life was a testament to the power of living fully, embracing each day with zest, purpose, and an infectious laughter that made countless hearts grow lighter. Her unshakeable belief in the potency of love, family, and friendship forged bonds that time, distance, or even death cannot weaken. She was a pillar of strength in her community, a beacon of hope in difficult times, and a source of endless amusement during joyous gatherings.

Le'Kisha loved God and her faith was strong. She was a member of Kingdom Culture Church where her passion shined in the kids program, singing, and studying God’s words. She worked for many years with North Florida Medical Center as the receptionist of Taylor Dental Center in Perry while also managing the family lawn care and services business. She loved to travel and especially loved the Great Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg, TN. She was passionate about keeping the Jackson Family Legacy alive through her position as the family reunion committee Lead Coordinator. She enjoyed connecting with the people in her small town community and was very well known by all. 

Survived by her Husband, Donald Morgan Jr., Sons - Kevarius Franklin Sr. (Taphana), Anthony Finn (Sareena), Terry Finn (Monique), Daughter - Georkira Robinson Clark (Elijah), Mother - Shelley Franklin, Sisters - Denise Franklin Long (Timothy), Shellnisha Franklin, Grandchildren - Kevarius Jr, Kevona, Ta'Karius, Sabrena and two coming soon 2025, Nieces - Shontesha Franklin (Nieces/Nephews: Janae, Lea, Louis, Mack, Timothy), Erma Long (Niece: La'Vayah), Shanillia Brown, Shaniqua Brown, Timya Long. She prided herself in building relationships within her blended family which gave her four step-sons, Kahreem Golden, Trogie Kennedy, Donald Cassidy, Teagan Cassidy,  two step-daughters Dominequa Morgan, LyLeigha Golden, and eight step-grandchildren.  She cherished the many years of sisterly love friendships and is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who she loved dearly and spoke to often. 

Preceded in death by her father, John Franklin, son Donte' Franklin, and maternal grandparents Roosevelt and Alice Jackson and paternal grandparents Sam and Susie Franklin.

Le'Kisha was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sibling, family member, and friend who cherished the bonds she shared, supporting and cheering everyone on in every stage of their lives. Her loss is immense, yet the memories of her laughter, smile, bull headed spirt, support, and wisdom will undoubtedly provide solace during this difficult time.

Le'Kisha held a fierce belief in the power of perseverance, and she embodied this belief by accomplishing everything she set her mind to. Her tenacity, combined with an unwavering faith in humanity, made her an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

In her teachings, Le'Kisha emphasized the importance of living life to the fullest and learning to let go of the things we cannot change. These life lessons deeply resonated with those she shared her wisdom with, leaving an impact that will continue to influence and guide them.

Le'Kisha has left behind a legacy of love, family, and friendship. Her indomitable spirit and vivacious personality will be sorely missed every day. Forever engraved in our hearts and minds, her influence will continue to live with us. As we remember Le'Kisha, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and filled with love, a life that taught us all the power of resilience and the joy of laughter.
