Background
Freedom Canines International (FCI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through expertly trained service dogs. We raise and train mobility service dogs, hearing dogs, diabetic alert dogs, and facility dogs, providing them at no cost to those in need. These incredible dogs offer independence, confidence, and security, empowering their partners to navigate daily life with greater ease. Whether alerting to sounds, detecting low blood sugar, or assisting with mobility, our dogs make a profound impact. At FCI, we believe in the power of the human-canine bond to create life-changing opportunities for individuals and communities alike.

About Freedom Canines International
Memorial donations to Freedom Canines International support the training and placement of highly skilled service dogs that empower people with disabilities to live more independent lives.Freedom Canines raises and trains mobility assistance, hearing, diabetic alert, and facility dogs while also mentoring local students who participate directly in the training process. Through this unique model, dogs are prepared to transform lives — and students gain leadership skills, responsibility, and compassion.
Each service dog receives extensive, specialized training tailored to the needs of the individual they will serve. Donations help cover veterinary care, food, equipment, advanced training, and long-term client support.
At Freedom Canines, it truly is “Pups Empowering People.” A memorial gift not only honors a loved one — it helps create life-changing partnerships between people and superhero service dogs.
