He was preceeded in death by his loving parents, Warner and Gladys Bliesner, and his brother Melvin Bliesner.  He is survived by many nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly.

Lee enjoyed  spending time with his many friends from the military and from his workplaces.   He often enjoyed his long  phone conversations with his friends Peter,  Wayne, Chris, and Chad.  He especially enjoyed conversations with his family members and siblings.

Lee was a man of service, both in his professional and personal life. He began his military career in the US Army in 1987, retiring in 2008 after a distinguished tenure with 8 years of active duty and 13 years of Guard taking him to locations such as Iraq, Thailand, Korea, Hawaii, Kansas, and Arizona .  He earned numerous medals of achievement, commendation, and appreciation while serving in the Armed Forces. These medals and certificates will be on display at Lee's Celebration of Life.

In his post-military career, he moved to facilities management joining Washington State University in 2008 and was a dedicated and hard-working employee.  Lee took great pride in the buildings and areas for which he was responsible.  He loved the WSU campus and Cougar Pride.   Lee additionally worked part time for Allied Universal working at many events across the state of Washington and developing friendships with his beloved co-workers there.

His educational accomplishments include an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Community Colleges of Spokane in 1998, and a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Washington State University Pullman in 2002. Taking care of his mother and his wife, serving overseas in the Iraq War,  his tour in Thailand, and graduating from college - these were among his proudest moments.

Lee was  proud of his  military service and responsibilities and was a dedicated University employee, but his interests extended far beyond these spheres. He was an ardent food lover, with no specific favorites; he simply loved food, with a particular liking for German Chocolate cake and rocky road ice cream. He collected coins from all over the world.  His musical preferences ranged across hard rock, with favorites like Dan Vasc, BeeGees, Guns and Roses, Christopher Cross, Aerosmith, Phil Collins, and Enya. He liked to unwind before the television with shows like Magnum PI, Simon and Simon, and Grizzly Adams. Movies such as Splash, and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles also held special places in his heart.

In his leisure time, Lee enjoyed camping, visiting waterfalls, going to the ocean, and road trips to anywhere.  Walking the dogs was his preferred way to exercise.  Local spots like Mandarin  Pine and Olive Garden were his favorites, and his concern for veterans’ affairs and the Humane Society demonstrated his commitment to making a difference. He was active with helping people with disabilities and participated in People First.  He also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.  Cobalt Blue, the color of tranquility, was his favorite.

A funeral service will be held for Lee on June 14, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery.  The address is 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022. The internment will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM at the Medical Lake City Hall 124 S Lefevre St, Medical Lake, WA 99022.

Lee will be sorely missed by all. His legacy of love, kindness, and humor will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.  We will miss his huge laugh and his smile.
