Leanne's obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leanne Morrison, who departed this life on September 13, 2023. Born December 17, 1965, she was a beacon of light in our lives for 57 short, yet incredibly meaningful years. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Judith. She is survived by her brother, Robert; her step-siblings, Johnny,  Gregory,  Lisa, and Melissa; her long-term companion, Tom; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends who will forever cherish her memories.

Leanne was a rare blend of kind-heartedness, radiant inner beauty, musical talent, intelligence, and wit. Her light-hearted sarcasm never failed to put a smile on the faces of those around her. She was a devoted cat mom to Pumpkin,  Melody, and Malaki. Everywhere she went, she spread joy and positivity, leaving an indelible mark in the lives of all who knew her.

Her life was not without trials and tribulations but, true to her encouraging words, she never gave up. In her bravery and strength, she fought hard, enduring much with the grace and fortitude of a true warrior. In her passing, we find solace in knowing she is finally at rest, free from the struggles that once challenged her.

Much like the beautiful melody that lingers long after the song has ended, Leanne's legacy lives on in every heart she touched. Her life was a testament to selfless giving, always looking to assist those in need, educating us all on the essence of true kindness. The memories we have of her have become treasured keepsakes, forever etched in our hearts.

A Memorial Service in remembrance of Leanne will be held at 1:00 PM on October 21, 2023, at Hildale Park Presbyterian Church located at 85 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.  We will come together to celebrate her life, honor her memory, and pay tribute to the woman who was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Gone too soon, yet never forgotten, Leanne's life was nothing short of a blessing. Her time with us, however brief, was filled with lessons of resilience, love, and perseverance. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the undeniable fact that her memory is indeed a treasure.
