On November 5, 2022 our beloved Lea'Johna Sanders was taken from us in a double homicide at the tender age of 22 due to domestic violence and left behind a sweet baby boy. Lea'Johna was just two months old when her own mother was killed as a result of domestic violence.  This unfortunate situation was not the first, this is 3 generations of women that lost their lives due to gun violence by violent offenders. Lea'Johna was raised by her maternal Grandmother, Laura. Unfortunately, Laura was also killed with Lea'Johna.  The only survivor was Lea'Johna's one year old son who witnessed this horrific event.

Lea'Johna was the only daughter of Leanna Myers. Lea'Johna had one son, Alcides Derrick, who is 1 year old.  Lea'Johna loved music, dance, entertainment, and making her family smile. She spread happiness everywhere she went and to everyone she met. She was not judgmental, she always welcomed everyone, she kept the peace, and she was over optimistic. 

Lea'Johna was affectionately known as 'Boog". She had a contagious smile. Her love was infectious.
