Leah June Olsen, 86, of Connecticut, passed away on January 2, 2024 in Ellijay, Georgia.  Leah was born Aurelia June Carani in Connecticut, and later moved to Texas, Florida, Minnesota and Georgia.  Leah loved horses and also wanted to be a nurse ever since she was a young girl, and dedicated all of her working years to caring for others as a Cardiac Care and Intensive Care Nurse.  

Leah is survived by her children, Nick and John D'Amico, Terry Almaguer, and her grandchildren, John Carl D'Amico, Christine Tyrell, Nicolas D'Amico, Holly Emerson, Joseph D'Amico, Robb and Aaron Almaguer and Lauren Gill, and nine Great Grand Children, and counting. 

A private Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at the home of her son John D'Amico, followed by a Gravesite Service at her final resting place, Cherokee Memorial Park, at 120 Memorial Drive Canton, Georgia, immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Leah's favorite charity, St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.  Leah's caring nature and sense of humor will be missed, and may she rest in eternal peace.
