Lawrence's obituary

Larry departed this life on May 28, 2021 and will be missed by many.

“For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.” Gone But Not Forgotten by Ellen Brenneman

Larry was born on December 8, 1960 to Francisco Perez Montion and Maria Alicia Ortez Montion in Fresno, CA. At the age of five Larry’s family moved to Otay. His father, Francisco, survives at 100 years of age.

Coming from a huge family, he was the youngest of 9 siblings. Larry was predeceased by his brother, Sal and his sister, Rachel and survived by Linda, Yvonne, Rudy, Pete, Robert and Frank (Poncho). Larry is also survived by Danny, his friend and brother-in law and many other relatives and friends.

Larry had 6 children and is survived by Carmen, the mother of his 4 oldest children – Sabrina, Cynthia, Theresa and Lorenzo, affectionately known as “Little Larry.” Larry leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with 1 more grandchild joining the family soon.

Predeceased by Maryanne, the mother of his 2 youngest children, Larry is survived by his children– Isaac and Sarah. Larry also leaves behind Isaac and Sarah’s grandmother, Royanne, who Larry called “Mom” and Maryanne’s sister “Auntie” Faith.

Larry worked for Luth Research for 17 years and leaves behind many friends and lasting memories. Larry was loved by many.

“May the warmth of the sun, the glittering stars and the light of the moon” guide Larry on his new journey. Godspeed. Until we meet again.

Larry’s final wishes were to be interred alongside Maryanne in the Garden that is on the hill above where his mother, Maria rests at Glenn Abbey Memorial Park. Graveside services will be held at Glenn Abbey.

Larry’s Celebration of Life will be held at J Street Marina on July 10, 2021. J Street was Larry’s favorite place.

The family thanks everyone who helped to make Larry’s final wishes possible.
