Lawrence Johnny Jones, 65, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 7, 1960, Lawrence was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Callahan-Jones, and their three children: Michael Jones, Charles Jones, and Debbie Jones, and a brother, Gregg Jones.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Lawrence built a legacy through hard work and vision. He owned and operated multiple businesses over the years, with ventures spanning real estate, restaurants, and car rentals. Known for his business acumen and generous spirit, he mentored others and was always willing to help someone get back on their feet.

Beyond his professional success, Lawrence was known for his warm sense of humor, deep love of music, and strong sense of community. He enjoyed playing guitar, hosting family cookouts, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. He was a man of quiet faith, dependable character, and deep compassion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother. His memory will be cherished by extended family, close friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 509 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33602, with visitation beginning at 11:30 AM. All who knew and loved Lawrence are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lawrence’s memory to Covenant House, an organization supporting youth experiencing homelessness — a cause close to his heart.
