Larry's obituary
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Larry Jones, a cherished husband, father, son and brother and patriotic veteran, who was born on July 31, 1957, and departed from this life on March 26, 2026.
Larry was an embodiment of strength and courage, not only to his family but to his country. His dedication to the United States' wellbeing was evident when he committed himself to proudly serve in the military for over 2 decades as a US Marine, including participating in Desert Storm/Desert Shield in 1991. His bravery and resilience left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
On his journey through life, Larry was predeceased by his loving mother, Helen Lewis, survived by wife Mindy, and their 12 children; Jarell, Jonathan, Danielle, Desiree, Jerome, LJ, Jeremy, Sean, Derek, Bryan, Andy (D’Angelique) and Lauren and a host of grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends. His memory and legacy will continue to live on through his devoted sister, Carol Smith, who survives him, brothers Bruce, Gary, Steven and sister Colleen. Their bond, characterized by deep mutual respect and sibling love, has been a testament of their family's close-knit relationship.
The loss of Larry leaves an indelible void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. The love they had for him was unchallenged, and it is this love that makes his departure so deeply felt. As the family navigates through this difficult time, they hold onto the beautiful memories Larry gifted them with. As they say, "Loving you was easy, letting you go is hard."
May Larry’s spirit find peace and serenity in the celestial realm, and his memory continue to serve as a beacon of inspiration, love, and bravery for all.
