Lawrence's obituary
Lawrence Ralph Andree, age 74, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton, Florida. Larry was born on June 21, 1947, the son of the late John and Loretta Andree (Vigneau), in Detroit, Michigan.
Larry was a man of tremendous integrity. At a young age, Larry joined the seminary with a deep desire to serve the Lord. But the Lord had other plans. Larry left the seminary to serve our country during the Vietnam conflict, as an active member of the US Navy. When he returned, he met the love of his life, Bonnie Laviolette. It was true love and the two were married within several months of meeting.
Larry was a true master of building and construction, at various times in his career working as a constructional ironworker, owning his own home construction business and serving as the Director of Building and Zoning for both the Northfield and Ypsilanti Townships before retiring from the City of Farmington Hills.
Larry enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, or just about any other outdoor activity. But most of all, Larry loved his family and his greatest joy was to spend time with them.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Cooper Andree; brother, Fr. John Andree C.Ss.R; sister-in-law, Joyce Andree. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years; treasured children, Richard (Holly) Andree, Michael (Jess) Andree, Rebecca (Kerry) O’Brien, Matthew Andree; grandfather of Samson, Jakob, Zoey, Estelle, Marissa, Olivia, Jayden, Jackson, Andre, and Quentin. Larry was the loving sibling of Sr. Louise Marie, C.S.C., Stephen (Ada) Andree, Rosemary Andree, Gerald (Carolyn) Andree, Jeannie (Rick) Kring, Mary (Jack) Darnall, Fr. Daniel Andree, C.Ss.R, David (Karol) Andree, Michelle O'Connor, Timothy (Laureen) Andree; and many, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, or to establish a memorial fund in Larry's name. More details on the fund can be found at https://everloved.com/life-of….
The Andree family will receive guests on Friday, January 14, from 2-8 pm at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, 23720 Farmington Road, Farmington, Michigan. A rosary is currently being scheduled.
A finial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, at 10:00 am just prior to the 11:00 am funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2201 S. Old 23 Highway, Brighton.
Thank you for keeping the Andree family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of healing.
