What sweet memories we have across the years.. she was the “life “ of the party , always “ shining “ for Jesus ! Can hear she and Rex singing now . “ 🎶Resurrection Morn “.. 🎶  What a blessing it was to be their accompanist at church camp and revivals ; they were true, anointed worship leaders !

Our love and prayers for comfort and peace during this difficult time 🙏💕..

We know LaWanda will be missed by so many but she is with Rex and with Jesus, her Savior and friend.

God bless you and your families during this time. Our prayers are with you.

My life is filled with precious memories of LaWanda (& Rex)  that I will continue to treasure, now more than ever. As a young teenager, on into my early 20's, then less often throughout later years, it was my distinct honor and privilege to play the piano, accompanying LaWanda and/or Rex when they sang for church services or events. No one will ever fill the spot in my heart left behind by LaWanda and Rex. I love you always, Wendy!!🎹🎶💜

So thankful for the life of your mother. It is hard to not think of both of them when they come to mind because they truly were one in Christ. May God be with each of you children during this time. Hold close the memories and remember to run the race with God at the helm so the circle will be unbroken. We are praying for your family.
LaWanda was a wonderful lady who I've known my entire life. She and Rex were in my boyhood home and although I hadn't seen her in many years, it was fun keeping up with her life on social media. Rex and LaWanda left an indelible mark on my life, both as a youngster and as an adult. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family. You're in my prayers.

I met Rex & LaWanda at Harmony Hill Youth Camp, when I was in high school. Rex led the youth choir, in which my 2 sisters & I sang a trio descant part. LaWanda’s sweet voice could be heard among those praising God, during the services & in beautiful duets with her husband.

She also joined her husband in revivals at KCCBS in the campus church, when I was in college. I loved her passion for Christ, and the unapologetic ways, in which she portrayed that.

When my husband & I were pastoring a small country church in MO, Rex & his daughter came to our house, as Rex was holding a weekend meeting for us. We sure missed LaWanda being there but I was confident that she was praying.

It was good to see her & Rex in 2021 & visit with them a bit. Now, they are both in Heaven & I plan on joining my voice with theirs, in praising Our Heavenly Father forever & ever!

Our prayers are with her family now & in the days ahead.

We had many.. A wonderful time was 2 weeks she came with me to Puerto Vallarta . We were planning another trip this April. I will miss all our talks about God and so much we did do together . A wonderful Child of God. I loved her and have so many great memories.
