Lauren's obituary

Lauren was a beloved mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Born on the 6th of March, 1962, Lauren battled cancer most of her life until her departure on the 18th of June, 2020.

Lauren was a gentle and caring soul. A woman of spirituality, she was a regular attendee at the Temple B'nai Abraham in Beverly. She was always helping the community that uplifted her in times of need. She also took a deep interest in antique dolls, sharing them online with friends. If she wasn't at the temple, you could find her taking pictures of a new doll. Lauren also enjoyed drawing, graduating from UMass Dartmouth with a Bachelors in art. Later in life, she decided to go back to Salem State for a Masters in social work, devoting over 30 years to helping those with intellectual disabilities.

Her son Felix was the world to her, and her husband Kenny was her best friend. In addition to her son and husband, she is survived by her brother and his spouse, Kurt and Jessica Shlager of Valencia, CA, and her parents, Beverly and Norman Shlager of Newton, MA.
