Emery was a huge source of joy during my days as one of her teachers. I will never forget our cherished times spent together. When I was having a hard day at work, Emery always made me feel loved, appreciated, and happy again. Soar high, you beautiful soul. I love you so much. My heart and thoughts are with Emery’s family as well as those who knew her love and joy.

I remember Emery attending church at Trinity UMC and loving the music. She radiated joy. She's a beautiful angel.

Emery was so loved and had the most infectious laugh. One of her super powers was to make 300 middle schoolers giggle along with her and man, that was a beautiful sight. Sending your family so much love, xoxo

I and all the paraprofessionals, staff and students of East High School are saddened to hear of Emery’s passing. In her one year at East, she made a significant impact on the lives of all that had the pleasure of knowing her. We will never forget her playful smile, lovable belly laugh, gorgeous flowing hair, and how she was never afraid to tell you how it was! Our thoughts and hearts are with the family and those that knew her best. Forever and always an Angel.

My heart goes out to you as a mother and as her teacher I will is her dearly, I think of her often in my work as I have been teacher and my son still talks about her. I will hold her close to my heart and remember her. Please know she is in my thoughts and you are in my prayers as losing a child is the part of our lives that no one is prepared for but god holds us parents close in our time of grief. I miss you all.

Everyone’s relationship with Emery was special and unique. I know ours was one of trust and security. I never had a doubt that she knew I was there and she knew I would take care of her. She had all my heart and attention.
