Background
Helping Hands Rescue Mission held a special place in Laura’s heart. It wasn’t just a place she volunteered—it was where she lived out her deepest values: compassion, service, and faith in action. Years ago, she brought her entire family there to serve together, showing by example what it meant to give back with love and humility. She believed in helping people with dignity, and Helping Hands gave her the opportunity to do just that. It was one of the few places where she felt purpose, connection, and joy, all wrapped into one. For Laura, it was never about recognition—it was about doing God’s work with open hands and a full heart.
