Laura's obituary
Laura Webb, mother, friend, and a member of our community, passed away on November 11, 2024. Born on April 1, 1938, she is survived by her two sons Chip Cochran (Lisa), Mike Netherclift (Gail), daughter Elizabeth Collis and nephew George Netherclift (Michelle). She is survived by four grandchildren, Colby Bringas, Niki Voege (John), Kailah Netherclift, Skyler Netherclift and preceded in death by grandchildren Sam Cochran and Tommy Smith. Laura is also survived by two great grandchildren Keegan and Aria. Remembered by her family, Laura's legacy extends beyond her immediate family.
One of Laura’s significant accomplishments in her life was her career as an accomplished AAU backstroke swimmer. Her excellence and dedication in the realm of swimming was not just a triumph, but a true testament to her spirit. Her achievements in the pool were a reflection of her undeniable work ethic and determination that extended beyond sports and served as a compelling life lesson for her family and friends. Laura worked as a Bail Bondsman for most of her professional career. One of her long-term hobbies was working as a head scorer at local auto car races in the community. She also enjoyed reading and working in her yard.
As we navigate through this time of sorrow, we find solace knowing that her spirit lives on in her family and those who were influenced by her throughout her life. We remember Laura not with sadness, but with gratitude for having known her. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Myakka City Florida. There will be a viewing Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 5-7pm at the Covell Funeral Home at 4232 26th St West Bradenton, Florida. A burial ceremony will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1pm at Bethany Baptist Church in Myakka, City, Florida. Rest in Peace.
