Laura Diane Washabaugh, 63, of Whittier, CA, passed away on February 18, 2023 after a long battle with type 1 diabetes .

Diane was born on January 19th to Oliver and Bertha Klingonsmith. After graduating from Glen A. Wilson, she went on to study and stay with her sister for a bit. Then she met Wade Washabaugh, and they wed in 1983, going on to have their daughter, Wendy.

When Diane had Wendy, she dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Diane supported Wade and Wendy through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was when she was sending Wendy off to the navy or helping Wade throughout his life, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Laura was a passionate genealogist and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her church supporting fellow members with family research. She had a long and painful battle with type 1 diabetes. She was stubborn and tried to live her life as best as possible. Her tenacity and kindness will never be forgotten. We will miss her greatly.

Laura was predeceased by Olive and Bertha. She is survived by Wade and Wendy. There will be a memorial at March 18th, 2023 at 1415 Turnbull Canyon Rd, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745.
