Laura was my first girlfriend circa 1975 - 1977 in Hollywood, Maryland. I lived at 143 Morgan Road and she lived at 109 Vega Court. She was always upbeat & friendly. She made the first move by offering me her finger to hold between our seats on the school bus. I was surprised by her interest in me and absolutely smitten with her and adored her. She was very pretty and had long, strawberry blonde hair. I wasn't worthy of such a beautiful girl! I am devastated to learn she died at such a relatively young age. I am glad she had a happy life with lots of friends. My heart goes out to her family.
There were way too many fun times with my amazing sister to recount. Since her passing I have had plenty of memories pop into my mind. Parasailing in Va Beach, sled riding as little kids. Family dinners, endless card games. Amazing holiday celebrations, Christmas Party's (she got the most joy out of that)!! Cheering for our 4 kids at swim team. The thing about my sister that everyone who ever knew her KNOWS, is she was a joyful person, and she spread joy to everyone she ever met. I will miss her forever
So sad to hear of Laura's passing. I shared many, many memories of Laura over the years. She attended high school with my daughter, Tara, and her Mother and I were close friends over the years, sharing our love of music through singing in church choirs, and the infamous "Just Friends" singing trio with Betty Quinn. Blessings and prayers for the family - take comfort in having a new musician playing music with the heavenly choir.
For our family, Laura was the beautiful face of the Town Creek Sharks. She gave so much of her precious time and joyful energy to this large group of swimmer families, always smiling, always willing to help. Such an example of a lovely spirit! She will truly be missed! Our deepest sympathies go to Chris, Izzy and the rest of the family. The Lord has her in His perfect peace!
This is a beautiful tribute to Laura's life. Even though I didn't live close by, we talked often and sat on many beaches during our annual trips together solving life's problems. I know so many stories about swim club and the orchestra and family and friends - the trials and the tribulations. She reveled in being a vital part of the community, her family and the families of those she loved. Her absence leaves a big hole in my life and I know in Chris' and the girls' lives and those touched by her humor and spirit. I'm so sorry for the loss to those that knew and loved her and hope the warmth of good memories soften any pain.
Laura had an amazing non-stop smile. Even if I had not seen her in a long time, she always asked me how I was doing before I could ask her. She was so caring and thoughtful. I will never forget her beautiful smile! Thinking of Chris & the family.
Thinking of the Theofilis family. I have fond memories of Laura and spending time with her and Canyon. She was so sweet and had such a contagious laugh. A wonderful woman who is already greatly missed. Sending you all my love, Canyon.
My deepest condolences Chris, Isabel, and Abigail in the loss of beautiful Laura Ann. I didn't really know her but heard wonderful stories about her. May her memory be eternal.
Lauraโs passion for family, for music, and for the Sharks was a driving force in her life. She was a dear friend who I have known since our days in the LHS band. I will miss our pool chair afternoons and her enduring spirit. Sending our love and prayers to Chris, Isabel, Abby, Jeff, Scott.
My favorite stories about Laura are poolside stories. We had some incredible times cheering on the Sharks, talking about parenting, discussing our faith, and laughing until we cried. I will miss her dearly and am so grateful to call her my friend.
