Laura "Laurie" Fischer (Griffith), 60, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on February 26, 2023. Laurie grew up in Avalon Pennsylvania. She moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. She worked at Baers Furniture store and loved her job as office manager.  She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. Laurie enjoyed watching her uncle Rich Dominek play softball and even kept score for them. She enjoyed going to the "girls" lunch and going to Kareoke.  The true loves of her life were her daughter Lindsey and her little dog Sully. She was loved by many. Laurie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Laurie was predeceased by her mother Mary Griffith,and brother Samuel Giovengo,  and Baby Garrett Fischer (son) . She is survived by her daughter Lindsey Fischer, Brother James Griffith (Debra), sister Sandra Whitlatch Dave), brother Jay Giovengo (Bridget), her aunt Jeanie Dominek and uncle Rich Dominek who she lived with for the past 13 years, many aunts and uncles,and cousins. She also had nephews and a niece and great nephews. Laurie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Laurie’s loved ones and friends to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at the Port Charlotte Moose on March 24th from 1:00 to 3:00.
