Laura's obituary
July 7, 1952 - February 20, 2020
Laura L. Burson - Montgomery, 67, of Georgetown, Texas passed away February 20, 2020 at Cornerstone Hospital in Round Rock, TX surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 7, 1952 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She graduated John Tyler High School in Tyler, TX in 1970 married right away and started a family. She lived and worked most of her life in Frankston, TX area.
Laura’s grandkids were her life and they lost their precious Mimi after a short battle of a pulmonary infection that she fought so hard to overcome. Mimi had a love for our Lord and sweet tea. She’s been described to have carried the stubbornness in the family as a spit fire, kind hearted, hard working, bright blue eyed, tough as nails, green thumbed woman who loved the Lord and her family more than anything. She has left the family with so many wonderful memories. She had a love for reading, gardening and outdoors. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, school activities, and being their biggest fan and supporter in whatever it was they were in and was looking forward to the birth of her first great grand baby. She was very passionate about her political views and a member of several social networks that supported the Republican Party and would ask everyone to Go Vote.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents A. Joe Burson and mother T. Carol (Nicholson) Burson and her two brothers, Roy and Bobby Burson. She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn J. Burson-Roche of San Antonio, TX, Enese Burson-Wilson (Chris) of Frankston, TX and brother Ronnie Burson (Claire) of Oklahoma City, OK, son Jeff Buttram (Tracy) of Georgetown, TX, their children Caitlyn Fowler (Brennen) of Lubbock, TX, Garrett Buttram of Brownsboro, TX, Sydney and Dayton Buttram of Georgetown, TX, daughter Linda Buttram-Poundstone (Scott) of Fort Worth, TX, their children Christi Barr (Zach) of Benbrook, TX, Erin Sanchez (Nick) of Glendale, AZ, Nick Poundstone (Nichole) of Fort Riley, KS, Jake Poundstone and Lauryn Bell of Fort Worth, TX, son Aubrey Roper (Mindy) of Porter, TX, their children Kylee and Riley Wright, Austin and Trey Roper of Porter, TX.
