Larry Wayne Burns

Larry Wayne Burns, 75, of Maricopa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at home.

Larry was born February 22, 1950, in Loves Park, IL. His family moved to Marana, AZ when he was 2. He grew up in Marana and graduated from Marana High School in 1969.

He worked as a barber for numerous years. He was divorced and had no children.

He was a member of the Living Word Bible Church in Mesa.

Larry had written numerous books, in hopes, that one day to have them published. There are currently three books in the publishing process.

Larry was number nine of thirteen siblings. He is survived by sister, Sandra Lee (Arthur) Horton of Raleigh, NC; brother, Foster Travis Burns (Nancy Mason) of Coolidge, AZ; brother, Fred William (Terri) Burns of Ocean Springs, MS; brother, Dewey Alvin Jr.(Cindy) Hulsey of Grants Pass, OR and sister, Lydia Ann (Edward) Natchez of Sierra Vista, AZ and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Foster Clyde Burns and Flora Jean Burns Hulsey, stepfather, Dewey Hulsey, sisters, Sybil Yvonne Burns, Silvia Jean Burns, brothers, James Wallace Burns, Russell Eugene Burns, Elton Edward Burns, Walter Leroy Burns, and Ralph Erving Burns.

A celebration of life service will take place July 19th 10am at Living Word Bible Church, 3520 E Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity.
