Larry's obituary

Mr. Larry Eugene Heindel, 68, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at North Greenville Long-term Acute Care in Travelers Rest, SC.

Born on August 4, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Murrel A. Heindel and Grace R. Meckley Heindel. Mr. Heindel was retired from Manning Building Supply as a truss builder, and he was a member of the Crossroads Church of God in Ocala, FL. Larry was also an avid NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys Fan. Mr. Heindel was also a US Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife: Victoria K. Robbins Heindel of Hartwell; two sons: Clifford Davis (Nikki) of Tacoma, WA, and Caleb Heindel of Hartwell; three daughters: Kimberly McMahan (Jason) of Seneca, SC, Staci Jackson (Daniel) of Rochdale, MA, and Jessi Peters (Billy) of Pennsylvania; four sisters: Eileen Ricketson of Lady Lake, FL, Gloria Leister of Manchester, MD, Nancy Heindel of Germantown, MD, and Nora Lee Blankenship of Gretna, VA; and four grandchildren also survive. Mr. Heindel is preceded in death by his parents and brother: Verl Heindel.

A Celebration of Mr. Larry Heindel’s life will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Elrod Ferry Recreation Area, Pavilion #2, 1284 Elrod Ferry Rd, Hartwell, GA. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
