Larry's obituary

Larry E. Hart

June 4, 1939 - May 31, 2008

Larry E. Hart peacefully fell asleep in the Lord at home with his family by his side. He died of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder). He was a loving husband and Dad who never left us doubting how much he cared about us.

He was born June 4, 1939 in Parkersburg, West Virginia and grew up in Akron, Ohio. After joining the Marine Corps in 1958, he proudly served for four years stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas where he married Karen Kuretsch, his wife of 47 years. He worked at Stewart & Stephenson in Corpus Christi for 16 years. He moved to Poteet, Texas in 1983 and was self-employed with Diamond Diesel Service, Pioneer Diesel, and finally, Hart Engine and Equipment.

His father, Ervin E. Hart of Winchester, Virginia, preceded him in death. Larry's survivors include his mother, Minnie Vincent Hart of Winchester, Virginia; wife, Karen; son, Royce Hart and wife D'Ann of New Braunfels, Texas; brothers, Bob Hart and wife Cathy of New Martinsville, West Virginia; Skip Hart and wife Sandy of Stephens City, Virginia; three grandchildren, Nicolas, Emily and Abbie; and miscellaneous nieces and nephews.

Karen would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Video Ministry of Cowboy Fellowship in Jourdanton, Texas for providing a way for Larry to attend their services in spirit when his body wouldn't allow him to attend in person. Larry's peace in passing was a direct result of his relationship with Jesus.

There will be a family ceremony on the beach at Port Aransas at a later date.

Larry would be honored if any donations or support would be directed to the Operation H2O Ministry. If you wish to send a check you may do so by making it payable to Operation H20 and sending it to PO Box 833 Pleasanton, Texas 78064.
