Larry was a Volunteer at the Calimesa Senior Lunch, and he also volunteered for the Calimesa Citizen Patrol as a Patrol Person, and he also maintained the Patrol cars.
Larry's friends relied on him to help them with their needs, as Larry knew how to fix just about anything, and Larry always was willing to help them all.
Larry had a little furry friend named Daisy, and when she passed away, Larry's life was uplifted by Bijou. Daisy and Bijou loved Larry, and he cherished them with all his heart.
Larry traveled to many States, and several Countries. He loved to ride his boat, and he also had a Motor Home for many years. Larry enjoyed his life to the fullest, in various manners.
Larry was a great Shuffleboard player, and belonged to the Calimesa Team for many years.
Larry went Zip lining, Parasailing, Horseback riding, went on Cruises, and various trips.
Larry survived Cancer, and a Heart problem. Larry lived a long life, and lived it well.
The Good Lord allows people to share the journey, share smiles, laughter, and sadly even tears, and they uplift each other's lives. Larry was my best friend for a great many years, and I loved him with all my heart. I feel that my life was uplifted because we shared our lives together. He was an Angel to hold my hand, and now, with tears, I share my memories with those who might have known him.
Seeing smiles on Larry's face, was always the goal. He loved any cookies I made. I called him my Cookie Monster. He was a good Cook, and a meticulous Helper.
It is with great sadness, and a heavy heart, that one must face the last Goodbye.
I want to remember Larry as the sweet, kind, caring, hard working man that I knew.
I am thankful to Larry and to the Good Lord, for having shared many years together with Larry Hansen. He meant the world to me.
May God welcome Larry, with smiles, as he greatly has earned his place in Heaven.
