Bob McKay was Larry's driller on Bomac 56. Bomac 56s first well was in the Uinta's Mountains. Larry got to travel with Bob and fellow friend Gary Harper from Kentucky to finish building the brand new rig and set it up on location in the mountains above Lone Tree Wy. We all lived in Fort Bridger and Lyman Wy. in those days. Our next well was in Fish Lake National Forest on a mountain. We would see huge herds of Deer and Elk every day and Mountain Lions  going up to the rig. Most of us lived in Salina Utah for that 2 year well. Larry and I traveled to Arizona a few times on our days off just to have fun and meet up with friends from Deerfield Ill. A favorite memory of mine was Larry,myself, Jon Egilsson and George Herman back home in Deerfeild all met up at George's place. We went out into a young cornfield, somebody had a huge bag of Bottle Rockets M80s and Cherry bombs. We split apart in 4 corners of this big field and had shot and threw the fireworks at each other. We were all screaming and laughing, running to hide in the corn so we could calculate our next move to try and blow each other up.  A couple years later we were on the Bomac rig in Lonetree Wy. I was working the Derricks up about 200ft. above the rest of the crew. It was the 4th of July and nobody told me but all of a sudden Larry & Jon Egilsson and the rest of the crew were shooting bottle rockets out of 2inch pipe at me up above them in the derrick. I really miss those days they were the best times of my life. Rest easy old friend you are missed.
