Larry "DJ Larry" Stogsdill, 71, of University Place passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Larry grew up in Elma WA, a town he loved, before moving to Tacoma then University place. Although he worked in car sales for most of his life, his passion was bringing people together by doing what he loved as a DJ. He enjoyed Dancing, collecting memorabilia, shooting pool league with his children and best friends and was known to be one of the best modified fast pitch pitchers in the Tacoma Metro Parks league. Larry will be dearly missed and always remembered. He is survived by 3 beautiful Children Bub, Bean and Von, 3 amazing grandchildren Jay, "Kenny" and Kylie. Larry requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. Larry never knew a stranger so if you have ever had the pleasure of knowing him for one minute or countless years, please join us in celebrating his wonderful life at South Tacoma Eagles Aerie #2933, 7037 S Pine St, Tacoma WA 98409 on Saturday September 16th,  2023, from 1-5pm.
