Larry's obituary

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Larry Crockett on November 18, 2025, born June 13, 1948. A man originally from Dorchester who loved life, Larry was known for his humor, determination, and the unshakable bond he held with those he loved.

He leaves behind a remarkable legacy in his surviving family members. His daughter, Frannie Crockett-Wolfe and his son-in-law Scott -grandsons, Riley and Derek Wolfe.   Brother-in-law Walter Pienkos.  Niece and Godchild Kristina Pienkos-Cordeiro and her husband Tim along with their daughter great niece Elliana Louise.  Nieces Kelly and Nicole Pienkos.  Sister-in-law, Cathy Barry, along with her sons. He walks now with his predeceased wife, Linda Crockett (Pienkos), who preceded him in passing.

Larry was a man of many interests. He was fond of cooking, enjoyed country and oldies music, and never missed an episode of his favorite TV show, Big Brother. An avid reader, his favorite book was the Bible. In his early years  he reveled in fishing and boating. He loved to vacation in Bermuda, a place close to his heart.

As a proud member of the American Legion, Old Colony Yacht Club and The Elks, Larry channeled his energy into causes he deeply cared about; particularly Veterans. His involvement in the organization was an extension of his compassionate spirit and sense of community.

His personality was emblematic of the phrase 'doing it my way'. His heart often filled with surprises, he touched many lives with his charm and kindness. One of the most profound decisions he made was to donate his body to Harvard for medical research. This selfless act, his final contribution to the world, showcases his perpetual desire to help, educate, and make a positive difference even after his departure.

Larry's love for life, his unwavering strength, and his ability to make those around him laugh will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
