Larry was my first cousin, his mother (Glenna) was my mom’s older sister (Erma). Larry spent a lot of time at our house growing up. I guess he was like our brother, what was one more kid when there are already 6 of us. Mom would load us up in her car and we would go swimming at different swimming holes. It was a different time and place and always lots of love.
I spoke with Larry about a month before he passed away and he told me he was going home soon. I did not realize he was so sick and happy I was able to hear from him one more time.
Larry was a proud Navy veteran!

My condolences to Larry's family. I first met Larry when he was born. His mother Glenna was my mom, Elva’s sister. My mom, my brother Joe and I used to catch the bus from Itmann to New Richmond to visit our relatives. One of our favorites was to visit Glenna, Judy, and Larry. They had a small store. My aunt would often give us our quarters worth of candy and give us more change back than we spent. I loved that woman. We grew up poor, but we were rich in relatives. Thank God for memories.

My condolences to Larry’s family. I met Larry at Sam’s Club he always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He was quick with a joke or to help someone out. Larry was a valued friend and will be missed greatly. It was my privilege to have known him. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Larry 1972 onboard the USS Schenectady LST 1185 in San Diego CA. We were shipmates for about 3 years. During that time we worked in the Supply Department together. We had good times and lots of memories together. I remember Larry and I along with another couple went on a camping trip together in Rhode Island.
Eventually we went to different duty stations and lost contact for awhile. One day I remember so clearly to this day Larry calling me while I was working at my desk. My wife found Larry via the internet and provided him my phone number. I'll never forgot that day. I recognized his voice immediately. Since then we have spent lots of time talking on the phone with each other.
During the past 5 years or so whenever I was in Las Vegas I would always visit Larry. We went to a concert on Fremont St along with lunches and dinners and simply hung out.
I loved Larry. He was a great shipmate very dedicated to his job and the NAVY. He was also a great friend, great person and someone you just wanted to be with. Larry always made me laugh, smile and just be happy and feel good about myself. I will miss him dearly and never forget him.

My condolences to my cousin Larry's family on his passing. Larry and I hang around quite a bit when we both were in school. He had such a awesome personality. He was always laughing and wanted each of us to laugh and be happy. I haven’t saw Larry in about 35 to 40 years. But no matter how long it was between our talks, we would always pick back up where we left off years before. I loved him dearly and will remember him fondly. Bye for now cuz; we’ll see each other again later❤️❤️

Larry was the 7th child to our family. His childhood is so intertwined with mine that it's hard to remember him not being there. We always took him swimming and to football games. On Fridays he would come over when mom went grocery shopping and he would stir us up and get us fighting against each other. We made a plan. The next Friday when he showed up and started trying to get us fighting... we all 6 jumped on him and whooped him good. I think we broke his bad habit that day. 😅 So many memories. We spoke about a month before he passed and he didn't say he was so sick. I have so many fun and fond memories with him. Rest peacefully cousin. Godspeed 🥰😢 You will always be in my heart ❤️ I'm truly sorry you left us.

My memories of uncle Larry were really great. He was always calling me or texting me and we would be joking, laughing even about a couple weeks before his death. I remember when we lived in West Virginia. He would be eating bacon at grandma and grandpa‘s house in Pineville West Virginia. And then another memory of when we was on his Navy ship the USS Schenectady. It was a pretty outstanding memory in my mind as a little girl, seeing everybody in their dressed whites. I will always remember uncle Larry, that way. And as his niece, I felt very privileged to have him in my Life.

Larry was one of the first people we met when we moved to Las Vegas and we were so lucky to have met him. Sailorboy (his email name) was warm, kind, helpful, and a jokester. He became a dear friend who provided an easy listening ear and I will truly miss his unmistakable voice. RIP dear friend, love and prayers
