Larry's obituary
Larry Bathauer (10/20/1958 - 1/5/2025), age 66, a beloved member of the community.
Born and raised in Denver, CO, settled in Windsor, CO, retired and passed away peacefully in his home in Cody, WY, surrounded by his wife and father.
Larry graduated from Colorado Institute of Art in 1982 and was an award-winning professional Wildlife & Landscape Artist. His preferred medium was acrylic paint, and he loved spending his time playing guitar (John Denver being one of his favorites) and was an avid nature photographer. He dedicated over 40 years to the Colorado School Districts, exemplifying his unrelenting work ethic. He was predeceased in death by Joyce and Timmy. Survived by father Bill (WY), wife Vickie (WY), daughter Tessa (TX), son Jaydon (CO), daughter-in-law Ashley, step-daughter Tiffany (WI), step son-in-law Matt (WI) and granddaughters Jacquelyne and Alyce (WI) as well as his siblings; Chris (CO), Mike (CO), Joy (WV), Mitch (WY), Ted (CO), Sierra (WY) and Shilo (WY) and an abundance of nieces and nephews. He was fiercely dedicated to his family, walked with Christ, and was passionate about nature. Larry has requested not to have a formal funeral service. In lieu of this, please take a second to step out and enjoy a moment in nature in his honor.
