Sally -  Yesterday, as I drove home from church in Bay St Louis, I rode by Larindas old condo on the Beach in the Pass and thought of her. There is a brick at Christ Episcopal Church with her name on it. I will try to remember to take a picture of it in near future for you.

Just now seeing this. My deepest condolences to the family. I knew Larenda in the pre Katrina days on the coast.  Classy sweet lady.  Missed her after she left the coast.

I met Larinda when she married my dear friend Joe. He had been looking for YEARS, with no luck! Then along came Larinda ….and he was smitten. Actually, we were all smitten by this gracious and compassionate woman, by her generosity of spirit, by her obvious love and devotion to her daughters and their families. Larinda talked about Sally, Abby, and Kate so often in our Contemplative Living Group at St. Bedes (or "St. Needs"…… and we needed her too!) Once Larinda and I got lost trying to find her car mechanic, and we drove around in circles for the longest time, both so confused and stubborn. We finally just started laughing at ourselves….. two elderly ladies trying to pretend like we knew what we were doing and where we were going. I told her it was like "Lucy and Ethel get lost in Decatur". From then on, she referred to me as Lucy and I called her Ethel. So, just know, Larinda/Ethel, that you've had such a positive, loving impact on your big, beautiful family and also on your many friends. Rest now under God's wings. We know you will always be with us. xox Jane/Lucy

Larinda and I knew each other through a Contemplative Living Group, and we miss her dearly in our circle. She was a sweet and strong person who loved her family. I’m sorry to miss the service as I’ll be out of town. My prayers are with you all!
Thank you for always making me feel loved and part of the family! We love you and will cherish our memories! ♥️
Larinda was one of the most beautiful people I know. I was lucky to be one of her friends. I loved her laugh.  My dear friend, you were loved. My deepest condolences to all you girls and to dear Joe

We knew Larinda for years and always appreciated her genuine kindness and deep caring spirit for us and our family. Her connection to nature and creation were captured in her appreciation for the beauty of art and the written word. This was made visible in the collection of books and all the artwork that covered the walls of the home she shared with Joe. We will miss her inviting smile, bright blue eyes and hugs of greeting aand goodbye. May all be well with all those who loved our dear Larinda.

Mom and I would often have these wildlife adventures that I so enjoyed. She was always willing to try the things I was interested in. I learned so much from Mom and she definitely helped me define my career interest.
Larinda and I were 3rd cousins and a year apart in age, me, being the oldest. I have fond memories of Larinda and myself playing paper dolls when our mother’s attended one of our many great aunt’s afternoon gatherings and a few sleep overs when they lived on East Main Street in Morrison.  So sorry to hear of Larinda’s passing.....my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I found this poem that Mom kept in her papers:

Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond's glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripening grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush. I am the swift uplifting rush. Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.   ~Mary Elizabeth Frye
