It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laraine Cubeta on May 29, 2025 at the age of 72. Born on November 10, 1952, Laraine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who had been fighting Alzheimer's disease since 2012. She will be remembered for being a kind and caring person who always put her family first. Laraine was a wonderful public school special-ed teacher for more than 32 years and a high school tennis coach. She was also an avid tennis player and loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends.

Laraine is survived by her loving husband, Gene, and their dog Peggy; her son Chris, his wife Jessica, and their daughter Franny; her son Scott, his wife Cherilyn, and their children Chase and Mia; her son Matt, his wife Jennifer, and their children Chris and Violet; her three sisters and brother, Maureen, Joan, Mary and Ken; and numerous relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 1 between 1-6pm at Gene and Laraine's house in New Jersey for anyone who would like to stop by and pay their respects (32 Park St., West Caldwell, NJ 07006). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's charity Hilarity for Charity (https://wearehfc.org/) in Laraine Cubeta's memory.
