I was a student of hers, I graduated lhs in 2007. She just randomly came to mind today and I looked her up. I was heartbroken to see this. You were a great teacher and the memories will always be with me. Thank you ❤️
My sincerest condolences to Laraine's family. I first met Laraine when as a 14 year old 8th grader trying out for the Lakeland High School tennis team. She welcomed me with open arms and was one of the kindest  souls I had ever met. Even through her Alzheimer’s diagnosis, she continued to coach us and will us on with everything she had. She was a fighter and had immense passion for the game, which is what I will always remember about her. Thank you for the bright and positive impact you had on me and countless other tennis players and souls on this earth, we love you Mrs. Cubeta. ❤️

Overwhelming sadness comes over me so many times a day. I will miss Laraine for the rest of my life. She was a great sister to Mary and I when we were small children, and never stopped until the day she couldn’t.

My love for you is eternal ♥️‼️

I had Mrs.cubeta during high school. She was one of the best teachers anyone could have had very caring and always a great listening ear. Will be missed
Gene and family. We were so to hear of your loss of Lorainne.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all
Laraine, with me as President of the LHS Class of 1994 was our class advisor.  I still remember the great time myself and Barbara Ryan had as Co class presidents planning all of the events for the class of 1994, in particular our senior prom.  I was later, in 1999 proud to become one of her colleagues at LHS until she retired.  So many fond memories of her.  I know she fought a long hard battle and truly believe she is at complete peace now.  My condolences to all of you during this difficult time.
So sad she was my teacher for 4 years of high school. she was an  Incredible  teacher that spread knowledge and love to all her students. Never treated any of us differently. She had a rough bunch of us, but always had our respect. She not only pushed her class to the finish line, but was determined to pass along knowledge that we all needed in our adults life.  I am forever grateful for how she prepared me for life and the incredible impact she made on me. My success with my family and career is a direct result of her taking the time to show me real life skills. My prayer are with her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing this incredible person. -class of 99
