With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lamond "Monzie" Dukes, who entered into eternal rest on the 26th of December, 2022. Born on the 19th of October, 1984, Lamond was known for his heartwarming smile that could illuminate even the darkest of nights.
Lamond leaves to mourn his sister Ifeanyi Dukes, his brother Lynnardo Hobbs, his sister Velicia Dukes, his brother Eugene Morrow, and his children; Lamond, Antonio, and Alexander Dukes. His radiant life will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Dukes, and his father, Lawrence Dukes.
Lamond was an individual of immense kindness and generosity. He lived by the mantra, "Treat others as you would like to be treated and don't judge people" and his life stood as a testament to these values.
His favorite foods were hearty pork chops, often paired with his much-loved drink, Dr Pepper. Lamond had a penchant for R&B music and took pleasure in watching his favorite movies, 'The Five Heartbeats' and 'The Last Dragon'. He loved spending quality time with his family, a testament to his caring nature and boundless generosity.
Lamond possessed a deep love and pride for his three sons, his greatest accomplishment. His legacy of loyalty, strength, and kindness will be a beacon for them as they continue their journey without him. Lamond's spirit, encapsulated by his favorite color, the tranquil and serene blue, will continue to live on, touching everyone who was fortunate to know him.
