Background
My name is Akara, and I am the daughter of Lakeyah Keisha — the strongest, most loving, and most beautiful woman I have ever known. Losing my mom has been the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. She was my best friend, my guide, and my source of strength. She taught me how to love without limits, how to stay strong even in the hardest times, and how to always put family first.
I created this memorial fund to help honor her life in a way that truly reflects the love and strength she gave to all of us. The donations will go toward a permanent headstone — a lasting tribute to her memory — and fresh flowers to decorate her resting place. I want to make sure that when family, friends, and future generations visit her grave, they will feel the love, respect, and beauty that surrounded her life.
