Laila Elise "Lai" Vasquez passed away on November 29, 2023, in Austin, Texas. Born on April 4, 2008, in San Antonio, Laila brought light and joy into the world from the very beginning.

Laila was known for their beautiful spirit and boundless compassion. They had a heart that embraced everyone they met, always offering kindness and support without hesitation. Their radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days, and their presence brought warmth and comfort to those around them.

They are lovingly remembered by their mother, Amelia Vasquez, and father, Adrian Macias. Laila’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know them.

A Funeral Mass was held in honor of Laila's life on December 4, 2023, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, located at 9700 Anderson Mill Rd, Austin, TX 78750. The service took place from 8:00 PM to 9:15 PM.
