It is with a broken heart, that we announce the passing of Laila Johnson, a vibrant soul and beloved Friend, who was taken from us too soon on February 27, 2026. Born on April 20, 2008, Laila lived a life filled with joy, kindness, and fun.
Laila had an infectiously lively spirit that could light up any room. She was best described as kind-hearted and fun to be around!
A young lady who had wonderful tastes, Laila loved to indulge in her favorite foods. A plate full of Chick-fil-A could always brighten her day. She was also known for her love of coffee and tea, often pairing her meals with one of these comforting drinks. A lover of the vibrant color pink, one could often find Laila donning her favorite hue.
While Laila had a taste for the simple comforts in life, she also had joy from the arts. A fan of The Beach Boys' music and instrumental art pieces, she found beauty for creativity. Laila was an avid viewer of shows like iCarly, Bob's Burgers and The Middle, and she cherished films like Lion King, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and The Calling.
Laila had a boundless enthusiasm for sports, especially when it involved cheering for the Minnesota Twins. She was always game for a round of Uno, or Texas Hold 'Em. Her love for sports extended to watching performances too, with Disney on Ice being one of her favorites.
Among her favorite pastimes were walking and swimming, which she considered the most enjoyable forms of exercise! Laila also loved to snuggle with her dog, dance, especially those associated with the Twins. Her favorite vacation spot was Texas, a place she found endlessly fascinating.
Laila cared deeply about various causes, but 'Feed My Starving Children' held a special place in her heart. She believed strongly in helping those in need and worked tirelessly to make a difference.
Laila’s life was a testament to the beauty of kindness, the joy of simplicity, and the power of a fun-loving spirit. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her impact and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
