Throughout her life, Lahoma remained deeply connected to those she loved. Her nurturing spirit touched many lives and left an enduring impression on all who knew her. Even in her final days, she held onto hope that one day, she would be able to do the things she used to do. She looked forward to simple joys: taking a family vacation to the beach, walking the dogs alongside her husband, watching her granddaughter show her FFA animals, and reconnecting with family/friends she had missed seeing.

Lahoma enjoyed traveling, especially to tropical beaches and places that have umbrellas in the drinks. She was very blessed to be able to travel to a lot of places and see a lot of things. She spent many, many hours sunbathing and would always hunt for sea shells on beach walks. Some of her favorite vacations included trips with her husband to Hawaii, Acapulco, Jamaica, Key West; a surprise trip when her daughter took her to Cancun for her 50th birthday, just the girls; going to her nephew's wedding in the Bahamas; Going to the Price Is Right with her friend, Joan; Las Vegas with her mother. She loved native american art, jewelry, and deco.

Other memorable events included surviving breast cancer, the birth of her grand-daughter, just spending time with friends and family whenever possible. Her favorite shows were the Price is Right and the Young and the Restless soap opera.

While at home, she enjoyed cooking and raised Yorkshire Terries for several years.
