LaDelle Elaine Ellis was born on February 17, 1932 to Martin and Augusta Vockrodt from Pipestone, Minnesota. She went home to be with Jesus on November 10, 2023.

The family moved to Portland in 1942.  She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1950.

She moved to Denver and married William L. LaBate in May of 1952. She had five children; Hildegarde, Anthony, William V., Matthew, and James. 

William L., William V. and Matthew preceded her in death. LaDelle had many different jobs over the years including being a caregiver but cherished the time raising her family.

She remarried in November 1978 to Robert Ellis. She began a new chapter in her life with a new extended family. She went to floral design school in the early 80’s and loved designing flower arrangements for family and friends. Robert passed in November 2008.

She’s survived by her two brothers Dennis and Dean (Marlo) Vockrodt, daughter Hildegarde DeCrescentis and sons Anthony & James LaBate, her 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
