Lacy's obituary

Lacy Kay Zobel Hollings, 45, passed from this world on April 1, 2025, at Bay Pines VA Medical Center in St Petersburg, Florida. She was born January 6, 1980, in Creighton, Nebraska, the daughter of William Zobel and Kathy (nee Parkison) Zobel. On May 28, 2006, she married the love of her life, Christopher Hollings, in Pacific Grove, California.

Lacy was a truly driven person, striving to be the best at whatever she did, from being the 1998 valedictorian at Rensselaer (IN) Central High School, receiving a BA and MA from the University of Southern California (USC), spending six years in the Southern Cal Trojan Marching Band, and rowing crew at USC.  Following college, she spent five years as a human intelligence collector and Arabic linguist in the U.S. Army, followed by working for the EEOC in their Indianapolis office.

Lacy was always politically active, working tirelessly for individual rights and fair and equal treatment of all under the law.

Lacy is survived by her husband, Chris, daughter Emma "Jasper" Hollings, parents Bill Zobel and Kathy Parkison (Robert C. Pfaff), sister Kristi Zobel (Kanan Ghaderzadeh), brother Robert K Pfaff (Amy Pfaff), and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
