Laban's obituary
Laban Miguel Fahie, of Florida City, Florida, formerly of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands passed away on Thursday August 19, 2021 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 56.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Nora Fahie.
Laban was a mentor and inspiration to so many in the music & trucking industries. He traveled the highways and side roads of rural and urban America in his semi-truck doing what he loved since the early 1980s.
He is survived by his daughter, Dax C. Lewis, son Doren Lewis, their mother Sonja Lewis, and granddaughter Imani Lewis

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the first viewing from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 24th, 2021 at Serenity Funeral Home 1019 NW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
A second viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a. m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 with service to follow at 10:00 a. m. at the New Mount Zion Baptist Church 461 NW 8th Avenue, Florida City, FL.
Interment will follow at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn Park Cemetery, 27100 Old Dixie Highway in Naranja, FL.
Arrangements are under the care of A MORTUARY SERVICE serving Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
All COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
