My sincere condolences to Kyoung-Ah's family and friends. She was very kind and sweet. I used to drive her to doctor appts when she was in treatment. I volunteered thru American Cancer Society. I wish I could have heard a lecture of hers

I was Dr. Nam's student and, afterwards, TA for 2.5 years. I still remember when I was sick she drove to my apartment and dropped off soup and banchan for me. Her passion for cross-cultural communications was truly topped by her passion to love and invest in her students. I'll really miss her.
It was Professor Nam's cross-cultural communication class led me into the world of intercultural communication - which became my love and passion ever since. It was because of her encouragement that I decided to pursue IC as my Master's program. Professor Nam is my inspiration, guidance, and mentor both academically and professionally. I do not know how to express my sorrow and resentfulness for not being able to share these words with her anymore, that we lost her forever.
