On June 29, 2023 Kyle Joseph Mamos, 37, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta. As a true born and bred Calgarian he loved the Calgary Flames and the Bow river. On any given day you could find him swimming in the river, hiking our wonderful mountains, shooting the puck around on any open ice rink, or taking his beloved cat out for a stroll. He loved to explore our city; visiting parks, taking in music festivals, watching concerts in the park, and running the stairs that overlook downtown.

He became an entrepreneur ten years ago when he started his own business texturing ceilings. He was proud of the work he did, and experimented with what new variations he could come up with like his latest “Wonka Bar” knockdown finish.

He was an adventurer and a social butterfly, making new friends everywhere he went. He was funny. Even trying his hand at stand up comedy a couple of times, which he admittedly said was not for him, but we will miss his sense of humour and witty jokes.

He is survived by his mother Marguerite Post, step-father Ross Post, father Benjamin Mamos, sisters Megan Pesta and Kimberly McLellan, nephew Dominic Mamos and his fiancé Summar Ryan. As well as numerous friends and family. Rest in peace Kyle, we all love you and will miss you greatly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Dream Center or Pawsitive Match Rescue.
