I had the honor of flying with Kyle when we were stationed at Ramstein. This is a video of him earning his “dirt cert” at a landing strip not too far from Marrakech, Morocco.

Kyle’s been on my mind recently and I know that he touched so many lives. A very bright young man who was such a positive presence in our community. My condolences are still with his family, friends, and loved ones.

I know you were not keen on celebrating your birthday in recent years, and especially sharing it on facebook, would not have been okay, but I feel the need to do something today, so here it is.

It doesn't make sense to me to wish you a "Happy" birthday, but it is and always will be the anniversary of the day you were born, and that was one of the happiest days of my life, and your mother and your sisters. You will always be with us in our hearts and souls, and I think we can use your birth date to remind us how happy you made us and how lucky we were to have you in our lives.

I could go on for hours if I knew this were actually reaching you. Your wife and children are doing well all things considered, and having them in our lives helps us keep going. Your kids provide me

with a living reminder of you, wish I cherish.

I will stop here for now, but will always remember you and this day with great fondness. You were and always will be a very special person.

Love,

Dad

Kyle and the Holzem family were so helpful to us as Jarett entered the Air Force~ you will forever be in our Heart~  Love to you All💗
Alice and I are so sorry for your loss. We are friends with his dad, and are Donna's aunt and uncle. His dad and I talked several times about Kyle and he would light up during the conversations. I had sincerely hoped to met Kyle. Alice and I are both Air Force veterans and, as such, mourn the loss of a fellow Air Force member. We are so sorry.
Megan, Maddie, Liam, and the entire Holzem family, you have our deepest condolences. There simply are not words. Kyle was an absolutely phenomenal human being- it’s no wonder he and Megan found each other. ❤️ Thinking of you all today, tomorrow, and all of the days to come. Please do not hesitate to reach out. Sending you all of the love in the world.
You don’t know me and I don’t know you but share in the heartbreaking pain of mental illness of a loved one. You are not alone…..and did all you could to prevent this from happening. Love your babies, know that I will be praying for you everyday going forward. Much love….Bev Mansfield
We are so heartbroken. He was so loved and such a wonderful person. Sending love and prayers.
My heartfelt condolences for Kyle's family and close friends who have lost what was a remarkable young man.  I wish you all, and Kyle, peace and also strength in each other to the survivors.
Sending you love, hugs and strength to carry on from this devastating time.
Rest in peace Kyle, we will miss your beautiful smile 🙏❤️

We are so sorry to hear about Kyle's passing. He truly was a kind soul.  It breaks our heart how much pain he must have been in and how much Megan, the kids, and the rest of his family are in now.  He truly will be missed.

Kyle and I were roommates freshmen year at the Academy. Some of my best memories were doing spirit missions together, especially during Army week. Our friendship really grew working through Astro projects together and running into each other during pilot training
Kyle brought me an enormous amount of happy memories.  They range from van dad mode Kyle in Florida with multiple curb checks, getting me my first Wisconsin cheese curd and watching me eat it attentively to see my reaction,  annoying each other over football and his best financial decision of getting Packer's common stocks and seeing that big Kyle smile and laugh, hours searching AFIs together in the exec office, planning and executing a Christmas party, helping me with future Iceland driving trip hints, threatening my life if I got back from Wisconsin and didn't bring him some Spotted Cow beer, spending a week sleeping in cots across each other then going on a 24 hour flight and getting a slight buzz after a tall drink with so many C130 stories to tell. Truly a genuine friend and mentor.
